Sports and deep tissue massage is a collection of soft tissue therapies that are beneficial for reducing muscular and fascial tension, improving circulation, decreasing scar tissue and improving joint mobility.
It’s all very well if you feel great lying on the treatment bed, but how can we translate this improved physical facility to day to day life or specific sports requirements? Using targeted techniques including soft tissue release, fascial and positional release, drainage, neuromuscular techniques, muscle energy techniques and deep tissue massage work, muscles and connective tissues are conditioned with practical function the core concern.
A treatment will assess function, injury, muscle imbalance and occupational tendencies. If it is simply a relaxation massage you are after, that is possible too.
Following the massage, you can receive some simple homecare advice to help you to maintain the positive effects of the treatment.
Our massage therapy treatments are offered by our fantastic highly and fully qualified therapist, recognised by dip BTEC 5 and the SMA or by one of our osteopaths, with their full wealth of experience.
We also offer pregnancy massage and have a table with a hole for your bump if you’re getting desperate to lie face down! This can help with pelvic girdle pain, back and shoulder strain or just allow you to relax and take the weight off your feet and back.
