Post-Partum Checkup
Any scars from perineal tearing, episiotomy or c-section should be left til at least 6 weeks before they can be treated using any manual techniques but we can still work with your body whilst avoiding direct contact with scar tissue before the 6-week mark.
Some women will have post-partum symptoms many years after delivering their baby or babies and a post-partum checkup may still have merit in your 50s or 60s!
We are all very experienced at working with fragile and vulnerable bodies post-partum, post-surgically and have a wealth of manual ‘tools’ and techniques that are completely safe.
No! Some of the manual techniques are so light as to be imperceptible, other will simply feel good or relieving. If we think a technique might be uncomfortable we will let you know and gain your consent.
