Alongside a master’s degree in Osteopathy, Jackie’s various academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a postgraduate Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. Alongside her osteopathic medical education, this wide base of knowledge gives her an in depth and unique perspective of the function, health and workings of our bodies.
Jackie has been extremely interested in movement from a young age. She has a background in dance, gymnastics and fitness, which provides her great insight in treating professional and amateur athletes, as well as non-athletic patients too. She has practiced yoga for more than a decade, and currently enjoys training in calisthetics and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
She has a particular interest in Female Health, and has recently completed a postgrad diploma at the prestigious Molinari Health Institute. She specialises in the care and treatment of women through all stages of life, with her treatment involving a combination of manual therapy, lifestyle medicine, patient education, self-empowerment and movement rehabilitation. In line with this focus on female health, Jackie has trained to offer the Perrin Technique, a treatment used to improve lymphatic drainage and promote the body immune function also indicated for fibromyalgia, a condition which disproportionately affects females
What I do:
What our clients say
I had a fantastic session with Jackie, who uncovered and began treating my semi-dislocated shoulder in the space of 30 minutes. Jackie offered incredible insight into the root cause of my injury and made me feel calm and at ease that my injury would, with time, be resolved. Really pleased.
I’ve been seeing Jackie for six months for the Perrin technique and she is incredible. So knowledgeable and supportive. She has helped me to feel so much better.
I have been seeing Jackie Tan for almost 2 months now and thanks to her knowledge and professionalism and support my life has changed completely … she helped me improve my physical health but mental health too. I can’t thank her enough for what she’s doing for me… She is just incredible.
I highly recommend Jackie Tan, who has made a massive impact on my life by getting to the root of, and for the most part completely sorting out, a painful nerve / back problem. I’ve seen numerous specialists but no one could get to the root of it. Jackie nearly completely sorted it out in just two sessions. Her approach is from many disciplines and her knowledge on things well beyond that of osteopathy make her a rare gem. Highly recommended.
I’ve been seeing Jackie at Kennington Osteopaths for two months and she is amazing! I have post-viral fatigue and she has been treating me with the Perrin Technique. She has an in-depth knowledge of ME/CFS and related conditions and has been more helpful than my own GP when it comes to advising how to manage my illness. Jackie is highly empathetic and a fantastic osteopath and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to start the Perrin Technique.
Jackie Tan has a sorcerer-like ability to merge all of her qualifications into a tremendous full sensory and fully instructive, intuitive therapeutic session.
