About Jonathan
Jon graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in Physiotherapy in 2009 having already completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from Nottingham Trent University.
He has a special interest in combining manual therapy and specific strength and conditioning training to help patients overcome injuries such as recurrent back pain, knee pain and shoulder pain. This enables him to focus on treating the cause of the injury rather than just the symptoms, he designs treatment and rehabilitation programmes that fit to a patient’s lifestyle. He is a qualified Pilates instructor and combines this when treating patients, as well as using massage, manual therapy, joint manipulations and soft tissue techniques.
Jon has worked with a range of sports professionals, including tennis players, cyclists and distance runners focusing on rehabilitating them so they can safely return to their sport and prevent further injuries.
Jon was a competitive athlete and competed nationally in tennis, water polo and trampolining. Being an enthusiastic and motivated sportsman reflects his enjoyment and ability when working with clients across a variety of sporting disciplines.
