I gained my BSc (Hons) from Metanoia Institute specialising in Gestalt, Person-centred and Transactional Analysis. I tailor my approach according to my client’s needs using different approaches from the three modalities to increase a client’s awareness, freedom and self-direction.
Gestalt tends to focus on the present moment (rather than past experiences) and this approach is supported by Transactional analysis, which explores your interactions and communications to establish and reinforce the belief that each individual is valuable and has the capacity for positive change and personal growth. Person-centred approaches ensure that we see people as unique individuals with valuable gifts and contributions.
I am passionate about my work and fully support my clients on their therapeutic journey of self-discovery to develop better relationships with yourself and others.
Born and raised in London, my journey into therapy started whilst volunteering for an LGBTQI drug and alcohol misuse charity and becoming a key worker for a drug and alcohol misuse service.
I provide a warm, neutral environment for us to develop the trust that allows an exploration of any issues that you wish to bring to the therapeutic space, in an empathic and honest manner. I believe we all hold our own answers, unfortunately, at times we get stuck and need support in finding them. I can work with a soft exploration or can take on a more directive approach depending on your preference, enabling us to deepen the awareness to gain autonomy.
Whilst working for a number of charities, I have been able to work with individuals of different age, culture and sexual orientation, with a wide range of presenting issues from anxiety and bereavement to sex-related issues, stress and suicide ideation.
