Marcelo Matias (MBPsS, MNCP, CRP) psychotherapist, is a Doctorate student in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology (DPsych) having followed up his undergraduate degree in Psychology with postgraduate training in Career Counselling and Gestalt therapy. He lives in London, where he is currently researching Occupational Burnout and Workplace Stress.
Throughout his career, he has worked with people on a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, sexuality, relationships, workplace stress, personal motivation and confidence, identity, and difficulties making decisions, accepting changes or facing dilemmas.
He has been building his career helping people to explore and gain clarity about various aspects of their lives, put new perspectives on the situations they are facing, and find new ways to live and improve their lives in a meaningful way. He uses Gestalt therapy and existential phenomenology as a practical-theoretical foundation for his work. However, his broad training allows him to be integrative as a practitioner.
He is Brazilian, and he can provide therapy in Portuguese and English. He is a BACP individual member, an NCIP member, a BPS member, and UCPA and UKCP trainee member.
