About Pietro

Pietro Susini completed his BSc Physiotherapy (Honours) from Florence University, Italy in 2009. He developed a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of postural dysfunctions and wrote his dissertation on the treatment of postural diseases in children.

Pietro considers manual techniques a fundamental tool in treating and managing the rehabilitation of patients for a range of symptoms, from postural and breathing dysfunction, to sports injury and competitive training. He works using traditional physiotherapy as well as dry-needling acupuncture.

He moved to London to complete a Master of Science in Osteopathy at UCO and graduated as an Osteopath in August 2014.

Pietro decided to integrate his Physio training with the Osteopathic training as he felt the need to achieve better hands-on skills to be able to get a deeper understanding of the body tissues’ condition and hence to treat their dysfunctions. This culminated in the completion of his training in musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound in 2022 which allowed him to integrate sonography in his practice to provide patients with the highest quality treatment.

His background as a competitive horse rider motivated him to complete a post-graduate diploma in animal osteopathy. He practices equine and canine osteopathy sporadically as a way to escape to the countryside and be close to animals.

He is now blending in his practice elements to provide patients with the highest quality treatment.

I can’t thank Pietro Susini enough for all his help. At around 27 weeks pregnant, I suddenly was severely impacted by PGP and sacroiliac joint pain that was so bad it was stopping me from doing all my usual activities, and I was close to being signed-off from work.

I saw private and NHS physiotherapists who told me there was nothing that could be done, and that it was all part of pregnancy. This was very distressing to hear, as I winced even turning in bed. I’ve been treated by Pietro for severe recurrent headaches, which had once been so bad that I was in hospital for a night being investigated for a brain bleed. Pietro (literally) put his finger on the problem in our first session and the effect of his treatment has been transformative. From previously heavy use of co-codamol just to get through, to no need for medication and a complete return to my formerly physically active life in a matter of weeks.
