Sorin-Ionut qualified in Sports Therapy with First Class Honours from the University of East London and completed his Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy in London. In 2023, Sorin-Ionut also successfully completed his training in musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound and has been integrating sonography in his practice since.
Passionate about sports and drive for success from a young age, Sorin-Ionut was competitive water-polo player competing at both national and international level for Romania for many years. Undergoing rehabilitation whilst playing water-polo professionally, he developed a more profound interest in movement, health and performance that has brought him to a professional role in sports-specific rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Having been through the process of rehabilitation, he has first-hand experience of the common barriers to recovery as well as understanding the role of the professional therapist during the recovery phase. His own setbacks as a professional athlete have helped refine his sense of purpose when helping others work through their own challenges and guiding them back to recovery. Together with his clinical reasoning, rehabilitation and osteopathic treatment skills this insight allows Sorin-Ionut to offer his patients a bespoke service to expedite their path to recovery.
Sorin-Ionut has extensive work experience within the NHS, amateur and semi-pro sport clubs (football, rugby, basketball, athletics), sports events (Brighton Marathon, London Marathon, Hackney Half Marathon, Football Aid) and is lead therapist for the National/Senior Development Squad for Brompton Swimming Club.
