About Susanne
Susanne’s deep interest in health and wellbeing, together with a desire to work with people in a more meaningful way, led her to osteopathy as a second career.
After graduating from the University of Osteopathy with Distinction, she completed a post-graduate diploma in Classical Osteopathy in January 2024.
With a genuine interest in people, Susanne takes time to understand her patients, their presenting symptoms and their unique history. She enjoys exploring and understanding the root causes of a problem, thereby helping her patients make sense of the presenting issue and recover long-term.
She uses a variety of techniques, blending the gentle articulatory techniques of Classical Osteopathy with more structural ways of working. Soft-tissue work, including massage, lifestyle advice and rehabilitation are part of her treatments.
Classical Osteopathy is a principles-based approach to health, looking at the body as a whole and utilizing the self-healing nature of the body. Susanne will work to relieve strains, rebalancing interconnections between different areas of the body, so improving circulation and how well that part of the body works. This leads to an increase in vitality, allowing healing and relief to follow.
Susanne has an interest, and experience, in treating patients with long-term pain, having volunteered for a year to increase her skills in this area.
She is a passionate skier, enjoys yoga and keeps fit by running, swimming and cycling. Preparing and cooking healthy food is also important to her.
Susanne is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of The Institute of Osteopaths and The Institute of Classical Osteopathy.
