Parents usually bring their babies to see us for two reasons: either their baby has a problem that they are worried about or they’d like us to do a general check-up in the early weeks after birth.
If your think your baby is struggling, or you’re worried something is not quite right, we recommend you bring your baby in for an osteopathic consultation as soon as is reasonable; the youngest babies we treat are 2 or 3 days old.
For a general check-up, we recommend you bring your baby in when you feel sufficiently recovered from giving birth. This can be from about 2 weeks of age onwards. We are happy to assess your baby sooner or later than this and of course it is never too late to bring a baby in for a check over.
